My First Football Game

So I never thought that I would ever like football. It was always such a cool thing to like - and for me in high school it was not cool to try to be cool. So when Noah tried to get me to go to a game in Atlanta I was originally less than thrilled. But, we really like Noah, so I would go with him to a yoga class if he bugged me enough. Anywho, we went to the GA Tech - Notre Dam game. It was the opening game for both teams. We had great seats just behind the End Zone with a perfect view. And, Noah was nice enough to answer my dumb questions about all the different Ref calls that were made here and there. Truth is- I really liked it. Actually, I think I am warming to football overall. Ok - so Baseball - only one guy doing anything at a time - very slow - very boring. Football - both teams always doing something. Very fast paced and interesting. I have even been listening to the scores on the radio now! If I had an antenna for my TV I would watch some games.
So, I think in Dec I am going to go to see my family up North and my newly wed sister and catch a Stealers game while I am up in PA. My sister got introduced to football by her husband and it is something they both can enjoy. Well, I have to get back to work now... but, I wanted to open this up: professional FB or college FB?

Well, some people might say that one is better than another, but really I think that both are good for different reasons. Phil says that the announcers are way better with college ball (which I agree after watching a whole bunch of games) because they're more willing to say what's on their minds, to take chances. With pro ball, they usually just don't. As for the quality of the game, usually the pro players can play a better game, but crazy stuff happens in college games--so again, they're both good for different reasons.

And the Steelers are playing at 1 pm on Sunday Dec. 3rd, so I think that you'd have enough time to watch the game and then head back to NC. (Oh, and if you have more football questions during the game, Phil will answer them--he's always really good about that, and he never minds.)

So now the question for YOU is: Georgia or Georgia Tech??

Oh def. Tech. Tech for college, Steelers for pro. Hopefully I will be able to make it for Dec. I should have enough accrued vacation time for that.

That totaly makes sense about the announcers! And it is great to have somebody explaing things.

Tech... oh come on, Georgia's WAY better. But that's ok. I hope to see you in December. I'll also probably be visiting ATL the first week of January, depending on airline flights and schedules.

Oh, and Phil told me about an ESPN article about college vs pro... I'll ask him about it again, and send it to you.
